KANKAKEE, Ill. (March 29, 2021) – The City of Kankakee’s Economic and Community Development Agency (ECDA) has been accepted into the National League of Cities (NLC) 2021 Eviction Prevention Learning Lab (EPLL).

Kankakee, IL – Choices Youth Outreach International and the Duane Dean’s Living Room Program is set to host a food pop-up giveaway today. The event will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the new Living Room program location at 367 S. Schuyler Avenue in Kankakee.

During a virtual public open house on Monday, March 22, the Kankakee Riverfront Society, the not-for-profit organization spearheading The Currents of Kankakee and the transformation of the downtown Kankakee riverfront, revealed its Preferred Concept for the East Riverwalk.
