Kankakee, IL – Two new police officers have been sworn in the Kankakee Police Department, Jackie Mendez and Carlee Small.

Kankakee, IL – Officer Jose Martinez made history today by being promoted as the first Hispanic sergeant in the Kankakee Police Department after serving 14 years in the City of Kankakee. The promotion was a long-term goal for him.

Kankakee, IL – Early voting has begun and will continue to take place now through November 2, 2020 ahead of election day on November 3, 2020. The Kankakee County Clerk’s office announced 469 people casted their vote on the first day of early voting, the highest participation they have ever had on the first day.
