KANKAKEE IL – City of Kankakee Mayor Chris W. Curtis will host an inaugural Turkey Dinner Giveaway on Saturday, November 20, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the parking lot in front of the municipal building 304 S. Indiana Ave, Kankakee IL.

Kankakee, Ill. (November 2, 2021) - The City of Kankakee’s Economic and Community Development Agency (ECDA) was selected by Housing Action Illinois to participate in a new initiative with AmeriCorps VISTA to build the agency’s capacity for housing counseling programs.

The City of Kankakee has a new Community Outreach Coordinator. Samantha Rocknowski has joined the Kankakee Economic and Community Development Agency (ECDA) as Rachel Schramm’s successor under the leadership of Executive Director Barbi Brewer-Watson.

In recognition of the needs of Kankakee residents and after listening to feedback from the community, the Economic Community and Development Agency (ECDA) has expanded their office hours.
