About the Comptroller

Name: Paula Rogers

Start Date: September 2024

Ms. Rogers is a lifelong resident of Manteno. She’s worked in Kankakee County for most of her career. She holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from Governor’s State University.

Paula comes to the position of Comptroller with more than 36 years of accounting and administrative experience. She spent the first 14 years of her career in the healthcare sector in Kankakee working first for Riverside as a Senior/Cost Accountant and then for Provena Health as a Decision Support Specialist. Ms. Rogers spent over 10 years serving in local government first as the Superintendent of Finance and Personnel for the Bourbonnais Township Park District and most recently as the Assistant Comptroller here at the City of Kankakee.

Ms. Rogers looks forward to continuing to be of service to the City’s residents, stakeholders and employees by diligently exercising her fiduciary responsibilities.
