The Collection Office, located in Room 105 of City Hall. serves as the centralized collection and billing office for the city.

The department produces a combined monthly billing sent to all City residents and businesses for the following charges:

        Sewer Service (based on the average water use for November through February)
        Community Oriented Policing Fee ($3 per month per unit, $8 per business)
        Residential Trash Pickup ($8 per month per unit)

Annually in June, residents have an option to pay this bill by the year and receive a 5% discount off the charges. For more information on this option call the department at 815-933-0441.

Other charges billed and collected at this office include ambulance service, smoke detector inspections and code violations, and vehicle sticker fees. The department also collects fees for such items as police and fire reports, taxivan coupons, garage sale permits, false alarm fees and parking tickets. For your convenience, payments may be placed in the drop box at the front door of City Hall. This box is checked daily. Recycling, trash overage and yardwaste bags are available at this office. Residents are asked to show their sewer stubs for the free recycling and yardwaste bags.
