AMUSEMENTS

Sec. 5‑01. Pool or billiard halls ‑ Closing hours.

Pool and billiard halls shall be permitted to remain open between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. on the day following, except on Sunday when the halls shall remain closed between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.; but on New Year's Day closing shall be at 3:00 a.m. on January 1. Sec. 5‑02. Pool or billiard halls ‑ Minors presence restricted.

No licensed owner or keeper of any billiard hall shall permit any minor to frequent the premises without the consent of his parent or guardian. (Code 1965, Sec. 51.53)

Sec. 5‑03. Boxing or wrestling matches.

It shall be lawful to conduct boxing, sparring or wrestling matches and exhibitions within the City or within one mile of the territorial boundaries of the City as provided by the Illinois Revised Statutes. No such matches and exhibitions shall be conducted within the City by any person who does not have a license or permit therefor from the State Athletic Commission as is provided by law. All such matches and exhibitions shall be in accordance with the provisions of law and in accordance with the rules and regulations of the State Athletic Commission. (Code 1965, Sec. 51.54)

Sec. 5‑04. Miscellaneous licenses required and fees prescribed.

Any person engaged in any of the following businesses, occupations or pursuits shall obtain a license from the City under the general licensing provisions of this Code and pay those fees as described in Chapter 21 section 21.04 of this Municipal Code. (Ord. 04-24 4/5/04)
