CIGARETTES AND TOBACCO PRODUCTS

Sec. 9‑01. License for cigarette sales ‑‑ Required.

No person shall sell or offer for sale any cigarettes by automatic vending machines or otherwise without a license therefore. (Code 1965, Sec. 32.04)

Sec. 9‑02. Fee for cigarette license.

The license fee for the sale of cigarettes at retail within the City is for each premises where cigarettes are sold or offered for sale, unless machines are used, in which case the fees shall be described in Chapter 21section 21.04 of this Municipal Code. Sec. 9‑03. Revocation of license for cigarette machines.

If the holder of a license for the sale of cigarettes at retail is convicted of the violation of any ordinance of the City providing for a tax on persons engaged in the business of selling cigarettes at retail, or of any other ordinance of the City imposing a tax, the license issued hereunder may be revoked by the Mayor after a hearing before the Mayor upon at least three (3) days written notice of the hearing served on the licensee.
